My Kirk/Spock ST XI vid is almost done! Halfway there. I'm probably the only one awake at this hour...but...does anyone want to take a look at what I have so far? I can upload and email it to you, o' potential beta. (And will probably ask your opinion on the final version, too.)

I have a rash from wearing sunblock =( I've never gotten a rash before. This is so weird.

So like. What do you think it means if the neighbors in the apartment next to yours/below yours/in your building keeps turning their water on and off for like the entire freaking day? I can hear the pipes. They turn on and off repeatedly...have been for the whole day. This isn't the first time. In the past, it has sounded like the water had been left on full-blast for whole days. And we share the water bill for the entire building.

I can't wait to move out of this place.

In short: Ridiculous but awesome!

Have (again) started to read Bruce/Dick fic. There are only two pairings that I have a tendency to go back to every once in a while and a passionate love affair ensues before something huge like Star Trek takes over, then I go back to the pairings again when I need a breather, and these are: Bruce/Dick and Bruce/Lex/Clark. Okay, so like, the second pairing is really like a threesome, but whatev.

The point is: it's very hard for me to keep a pulse on DCU fandom. Plus, all the background knowledge I have comes from fic - I've only read a few comics, mostly because I wouldn't know where to get started to read relevant Bruce, Dick, Clark, or Lex storylines in the multitude of comics. It just feels so - big. I guess this is where ship_manifesto comes in to save the day.

Anyway, I freaking love comic books. Jesus h christ, I need to finish reading Cable & Deadpool already. I am so behind.

And then Star Trek fandom keeps cranking out fic like nobody's business. And people like hackthis go and write epic Southland fic. And THEN there's the Torchwood big bang that happened. *throws hands* TOO MUCH FIC. THERE IS NO SUCH THING. BUT THERE SHOULD BE MORE HOURS IN THE DAY, Y'KNOW, I'M JUST SAYIN'.

No Fate by hollycomb. Marcus Wright/Kyle Reese, NC-17, EPIC.
Summary: The machines were far more brilliant in their engineering of Marcus Wright than they realized. Kyle Reese falls in love with the wrong person.

RUN, don't walk, to read this story. Long and plotty and packs an emotional punch, wonderful characterization, believable, earnest, lovely, achy, BEAUTIFUL.

I COMPLETELY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO DO THIS ECONOMICS HOMEWORK THAT'S DUE TMW. ELASTICITY FORMULA? WHAT? THANKS TEXTBOOK YOU ARE NO HELP AT ALL.

Got my copy of Confession in the mail today and watched it and it was utterly fabulous! I really enjoyed it and thought it was a great movie.

And .... of course I'd have to pervert it with my slash sensibilities: there needs to be Father Michael Kelly/Luther Scott fic.

So the first meetup went SPLENDID! Everyone turned out to be SEXY GQMFs, what do you know? But time to pay respect to the original GQMFs of TOS - SATURDAY, JUNE 20th!

WHAT WE WILL DO:
Epic episode viewing party of TOS episodes, movies, Heroes, YouTube clips, eat, whatever we want to do, crafts, etc. If you want to make crafts - please to be bringing supplies!

WHAT WE WILL CONSUME:
Soda, drinks, chips, snacks, BYOF/D (bring your own food/drinks), etc.

WHEN:
Saturday, June 20th. How about 2pm 4pm, is that okay with everyone? That's when we can aim for anyway, and we'll be partying into the evening so show up when you can! The party will wrap officially at 2am, but of course you can leave whenever you like.

WHERE:
_ryouseiteki_ has been gracious enough to let us party at her house! Directions will be forthcoming via private message.

Because I could've sworn I saw one a few days ago that was like 18,000 words. But I could just be making that up because I want this so bad. D:

The effects on this can be a little overwhelming at times, but it is very beautifully done nonetheless and absolutely stunning in combination with the song. Editing is great, and this actually has both nuTrek and TOS source material.

Has anyone read books based off TOS? And if so, were there any in particular that would interest a Kirk/Spock shipper? Or just any good books based on TOS in general. There are so many novels I don't know which ones are worth reading and which aren't. I heard The Entropy Effect is good, but I'll have to check Halfprice books or something to see if they have it since it's unavailable at my local B&N.

I started watching TOS on cbs.com recently.... and have completely fallen in love with Shatner, Nimoy, and Kelley. (BUT ESPECIALLY SHATNER AND KELLEY, OMG.)

So what do I go and do? Buy the 3pack dvd set. D= It's the cheapest I've seen it anywhere.....but it's still damn expensive.

I am so going for the broke college student stereotype, it seems.
